God today I prayer that you will help me be a blessing to someone else in need. Help me to put aside my own problems and listen to someone else who needs your comfort and peace. Remind me of the many blessings you have given me and help me reflect on all you have done for me. I know when I help someone in need I will gain strength. I realize that by allowing myself to minister to the needs of others I will be less likely to enjoy the self pity I am so comfortable with. Thank you for giving me another day to show your love and draw closer to you. Remind me that each day is another opportunity to be a friend and remind someone that they are loved.
Please, put the person in my path today who needs a shoulder to cry on, or an ear to listen. Allow me to use the gifts you have given me to help that person. Remind me that I am nothing without you.
I encourage everyone to spend time with someone in need today. Offer words of understanding and a prayer for help. There are many people on Aidpage with needs. Open your heart to them and let them know you care. Ask God to show you what to say and allow His Spirit to lead you.
